Holly and Ryan
Ryan and I met in May of 2000 when I was still a
senior in high school. After many years of mutual
flirting we decided to give a relationship a try. Little
did we know the blessings that God had in store for
us.

Ryan proposed five days after Christmas 2002. The
ring was a .33 carat solitaire round cut diamond set
on a white gold band. Sadly enough it was 3/4 of a
size too small so after showing it to my family I had to
take it off to preserve my finger.
When Ryan and I decided to get married, I knew that I wanted
things to be simple and for people to have a good time. To me
a wedding is just a means to an end and I have always thought
weddings should be simple and lovely.
We chose to get married at the Lebam Wesleyan Church for
the reasons that it was small and that it was representative of
my faith. In order to keep things simple I chose not to
accentuate the front of the church with the normal giant urns
of flowers. Instead we used the ivy covered topiaries the
church already had and decorated the end of the pews with a
bouquet of ivy and pink hydrangeas tied with a white tulle bow
that cascade down towards the floor. My bridesmaids carried
more pink hydrangea in a nosegay bouquet while I carried a
very large white hydrangea bouquet.
The ceremony was lovely and well done my our family
minister, except for when she forgot to allow us to exchange
rings. She did save it though by pointing out that they are
simply rings which mean nothing when compared to the love
they represent.
Our reception followed along the lines of simple with white
decor being accentuated with white lights strung from the
celling. It provided light and the look that I was going for. The
hall was also illuminated by candles at each table that were
surrounded by white rose petals and vases of pink tulips.
Overall, our wedding followed the vision that I had planned.
There will always be things that I wish would have looked
better. However, the people who came enjoyed themselves
and I married the man I love. Simply put; it was perfect.
Our special thanks to Holly and Ryan! What a wonderful local couple! If you are a couple with up coming nuptials and would
